Proposed Plan Change 1 was developed using an innovative collaborative process working alongside our iwi partners, key stakeholders and communities.

This process meant those who are most affected by the changes have been at the table developing the policy and providing input and feedback from their communities and sectors.

Establishing the Collaborative Stakeholder Group

The Collaborative Stakeholder Group (CSG) was established in 2014 with industry, community and sectors putting forward their own delegates to sit on the group.

Workshops

Collaborative Stakeholder Group (CSG) workshops ran from March 2014 to July 2016.

There were generally held every four to six weeks,and following each workshop:

  • a newsletter was published
  • workshop notes were published.
