Strategy and Policy Committee

The Committee is responsible for the following functions, excluding matters that fall within the specific responsibilities of other committees:

• Setting Council’s strategic direction and policy approach
• Identifying regional issues requiring Council intervention
• Establishing Council’s advocacy positions on regional matters
• Responding to statutory planning processes led by external agencies
• Providing leadership on issues of regional significance
• Setting strategic priorities to guide organisational direction and policy development
