Lower Waikato floodgate upgrades

This project will see the upgrade of assets east of Huntly in the Mangawara catchment, providing critical flood defences in the area and making the assets safer to operate in times of flood. Floodgates enable the removal of flood water from behind stopbanks.

Status update:

• Requirements for each asset have been scoped and planning is progressing on renewals work.
• Procurement of construction services out for tender, with construction to start in the new year.
