Waikato Raupatu River Trust and Waikato Regional Council Co-Governance Committee

The Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Joint Management Agreement (JMA) between Waikato Raupatu River Trust and Waikato Regional Council is being implemented in a manner that satisfies both parties and upholds the partnership principles set out in the Waikato‑Tainui Raupatu Claims (Waikato River) Settlement Act 2010.

The Committee meets annually, or more frequently if agreed, and operates under its own Standing Orders. All decisions are made by consensus, reflecting the shared commitment of both organisations.
