Te Arawa River Iwi Trust Joint Management Committee

This Committee is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the Joint Management Agreement (JMA) between Te Arawa River Iwi Trust and Waikato Regional Council. Its role is to provide a shared mechanism for joint decision‑making, uphold the principles set out in clause 4 of the JMA, and give effect to the guardianship provisions established under the Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Raukawa, and Te Arawa River Iwi Waikato River Act 2010. The Committee works collaboratively to oversee agreed responsibilities, support integrated management of the Waikato River and related activities, and maintain a strong co‑governance partnership
